Salt and Saffron

Salt and Saffron
Kamila Shamsie

A wonderful book by Kamila Shamsie. A well written book, all the more pleasurable for the little references to things familiar. A book about why we are what we are, and how we got there. A book I like very much. It reminded me of Prison and Chocolate Cake, of Amrita Sehgal, of Joanne Harris. And she's only six years older than I am.
