Discovering Neil Gaiman

Anansi Boys
Neil Gaiman

Just spent Saturday morning in bed, reading Anansi Boys and munching on left over cornbread. Books might be categorized into three kinds, the kind which can't be put down once I pick them up, the kind I can't finish, and the kind I keep putting down but keep going back to. The kind which sit on the nightstand, taunting me when I'm trying to sleep. This was definitely the latter kind. There's apparently a whole treasure out there, and I have the luxury to decide where to start.

At some point today, I will bake chocolate chip cookies to take to work, from this recipe. I will not mope anymore. I will not be sad.

Me and Neil'll be hangin' out with the dream king" (from Tear in your Hand).v
